Salary: £23,600 to £25,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience 

 

Working Hours: Part time, 17 hours per week 

 

 

Are you looking for a flexible part-time role while gaining experience in a supportive, team focused environment?  

Join our General Insurance team, where you’ll help Tesco Insurance and Money Services customers with their home and motor insurance needs. In this fast-paced role, you’ll handle inbound calls, assist customers with policy changes, providing financial support and promote self-service options. Whether it’s resolving queries, retaining customers, or ensuring a smooth experience, your ability to deliver outstanding service will be key. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Supporting customers with queries about their insurance policies—making changes, answering questions, and solving problems 
  • Having real conversations that make a difference—helping customers through financial challenges and providing reassurance 
  • Promoting digital tools and self-service options that make life easier for our customers 
  • Keeping things running smoothly by documenting your interactions and following our processes 
  • Handling inbound calls (and occasionally outbound ones), working alongside a supportive team 

 We need you to have:  

  • Have great people skills and enjoy helping others 
  • Are confident using digital tools and multitasking on systems 
  • Have experience in retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing role  

And if you have any of these, even better:  

  • Experience working in insurance, financial services or a regulated industry.  
  • Previous experience in sales or customer retention roles.  
  • The ability to work efficiently in a target-driven environment.  

 

Training That Sets You Up for Success 

Although the role is part-time, you'll start with 4 weeks of full-time, in-person training (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm) to set you up for success. You’ll then move into a supportive “graduate bay” to gain real experience with guidance before transitioning into your team.
