We’re looking for an Operational Underwriter to join our Insurance Money and Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Operational Underwriter to join our Motor Underwriting Team in Newcastle. You’ll be accountable for supporting the Underwriting Team and our customers through referral management, making crucial underwriting decisions, analysing risk data, and contributing to our continued success.

What you’ll be doing
• Reviewing complex cases, making underwriting decisions within an agreed authority matrix
• Working closely with our Claims colleagues on cases of misrepresentation
• Supporting Technical Underwriting on key projects and initiatives

We need you to have
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Personal Lines Insurance
• Confidence to work without supervision and provide technical guidance

And if you have any of these, even better
• Experience working in an underwriting role
• Strong analytical skillset
