Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid, however you need to travel to an office 2 days per week for this role.

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Insurance and Money Services team to help us drive the technical roadmap of our platform level application stacks. Please note this role is known as a Product Manager in our organisation.

Leadership Role: As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll work across engineering, architecture, QA, service operations and product teams to ensure our technology roadmap plans are fully understood through the enterprise and aligned to the technology strategy.

Influence on Direction: You’ll help set the technical direction and drive through improvements, features, and changes while delivering on committed platform changes. This allows you to make a significant impact on both the technology products and the engineering teams delivering change.

Mentorship Opportunities: You’ll work closely with the Technical Product Owners providing a chance to share your knowledge and help others grow.

Subject Matter Expertise: You’ll act as a technical subject matter expert across the technology platform teams allowing you to showcase and further develop your expertise. You’ll be able to assess emerging technology patterns and work with Engineering leadership.

The Role

• Creating and owning the technical product backlogs for our core platforms - across Dev Ops toolsets, cloud (AWS and Azure) infrastructure and application support.
• Ensuring alignment across product and engineering teams so that platform run efforts and improvements are correctly prioritised
• Working with architecture to shape the lifespan and technology choices to optimise our efficiency
• Defining and owning the quality metrics across our platforms
• Creating a roadmap for tooling and automation improvements and ongoing maintenance.
• Interfacing with outsourcers and third parties that impact platforms to hold obligations to account
We need you to have (min experience)
• Demonstrable experience of a technical leadership role in a medium to large enterprise organisation.
• Deep understanding of delivery methodologies and processes.
• Knowledge of architecture and engineering best practises.
• Good knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Skilled people management and leadership capability displaying excellent judgement and latitude in decision making.
• Commercial understanding of business strategy and its impact on technology.
• Strong communication skills at all levels across the organisation.
